The 42nd edition of the IMF Talichův Beroun will be held in the spirit of the Year of Czech Music thanks to this magical number four in the history of Czech music. In addition to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana, we will also commemorate his contemporary, Josef Leopold Zvonař, a native of nearby Kublov. However, there will also be works by other jubilarians, especially Josef Suk, Bohuslav Martinů and Antonín Dvořák, which will be celebrated by the programme of the festival concerts. In addition to these concerts of the main festival series, we are also preparing interesting side events and a popular open air concert. There will also be educational concerts and workshops for the youngest music lovers. And how does the younger generation see classical Czech music? You will find out due to the second annual video competition for primary and secondary school pupils, which will be organised in cooperation with the Beroun municipality.
